This baby quilt is quick and easy to make and conforms to the favorite adage "let the fabric do the work". The center rectangle (16" x 22") is the focus of the overall design. There are so many wonderful novelty and children's fabrics today - for boys and girls.

The fabric used in the focus center of the cover sample looks pieced, but it was not.  Add a simple sashing around the center and surround it with pieced, square-in-a-square border blocks (using two alternating perimeter colors) and the quilt top is finished.

FINISHED SIZE: 36" X 42"

3/4 yd for focus center
1/2 yd for center sashing
1/2 yd for pieced border block centers
3/8 yd Fabric A for pieced border block perimeter
3/8 yd Fabric B for pieced border block perimeter
1 1/2 yds backing
3/8 yd binding
