On the top of my list this Christmas is enjoy time with my rapidly growing children.  We have been careful not to over schedule and I have even turned down sewing jobs for just this reason.  It is fun to be with them and I don’t want to miss enjoying this spectacular holiday through their eyes.  Last weekend we enjoyed the Night of Lights at Kyle’s school.  They had hay rides through the neighborhood to look at lights.  The kids liked the lights a lot and the hot chocolate was enjoyed too!  There were some really impressive houses – but Haley’s favorite house had simple icicle lights hanging from the eves.  Sometimes simple is better, isn’t it?!?!

Our plans this weekend include another night of lights – this time at the Tucson Zoo. Today, I am working on an outfit for Haley to wear.  I tell ya, she’s so lucky!  I should be able to show you pictures later this weekend.  Anyway, also today I wanted to do something simple….that’s kinda the theme here, right?  So I made Haley this little headband using the 1 1/2 inch Andalucia ribbon.  I used the Fire Mod Dots and the Petal Mod Blooms so it’s reversible.  Would anyone like a tutorial on this?  It’s a fast project anyone could handle!

Back to enjoying those little bodies around me!  Have a great weekend!

  1. I’ve seen a few other tutorials, but I’d love to see how you did it!

  2. That’s what I figure – there are probably lots of tutorials already. Hmmm…we’ll see – I might just do it anyway. :-)
