We saw this collection at Quilt Market and fell in love. The girly florals in aqua, coral, navy, and yellow .. I die!
It’s because of collections like these that we now have our fabric shop. I would have without a doubt bought this entire collection and many, many yards of it at that.
Here is a shot of her booth at Quilt Market where we first met Garden Party Tango … love at first sight!
I spy a Roller Skate Dress from Oliver + S hanging on the wall
OMG .. I love this dress!! I only wish we still had some of the main fabric in the shop.
The dress is the Rollerskate Dress from Oliver + S. I must confess though .. I was not a fan of the dress looking at the pattern front. It wasn’t until I started seeing it made that I fell in love. That’s happened with a few of the Oliver + S dresses.
This dress was so easy to make. It’s fully lined which was not a big deal and as with all the Oliver + S patterns, I felt so accomplished after I finished it. The fabric was from the Waterfront Park collection. Even though we don’t have the main print in stock anymore, we do have some other amazing fabrics in that collection.
I’m in preppy heaven with the new collection from Michael Miller. The Littles is a great nautical collection in navy, coral, and mint green. The sailboats, the whales, the anchors, and dots are enough to make my preppy heart go crazy!
Check out these adorable dresses made using the Littles fabrics …
This is such a fun and easy dress using a great border print. Mom used the bodice from the Children’s Corner Paulie and then gathered a yard of fabric for the skirt. Too easy!
As soon as we started talking about this project to customers, we sold out of the fabric. We do have another colorway in green though that I think would look adorable with either a frog or turtle applique.
And the fabrics on sale
If you read my initial post about the new Oliver + S pattern releases, you’ll remember I said that the Hide and Seek dress would probably be one of those dresses that I like but would actually love once I saw it made. I found further evidence of that theory … Probably Actually made the dress and it is awesome.
I’m thinking of using the Interweave Chambray from Robert Kaufman in Wisteria .. now to figure out what fabric to highlight in the yoke!
I wonder if mom would let me stay home all next week and just sew? Technically I’d be working on samples for the shop
