Back today to share another fabric option for the kit this month! I was thinking of Christmas when I made version two…..and I must say, I think it’s wonderful!  Beautiful grey, red, pink and green….with a sweet little red dot fabric for the accent.

Ruby Swoon Urban Dress

This is from Ruby (Bonnie & Camille) for Moda….this print is called “Swoon” and it makes me want to do just that!  The light grey background is so pretty with the red, pink and green.  I love it!

I have plans for my sewing schedule the first week of November (NEXT WEEK! ACK!) – I’ll be using this little red dot to make the boys ties.  And if all goes as planned, they’ll also get newsboy caps and pants from this corduroy.  It will be our Christmas picture.  It will be adorable and even more wonderful if I actually manage to get it sent out to family and friends this year.  I dream big, people.  😉

Haley found a flower while we were out taking pictures, and I thought this was such a sweet picture that I had to include it.  😀  After I finished the dress, I had her come try it on for me…and she did not want to take it off!  She has wanted to wear it every day…but I’m making her wait til I get those Christmas pictures.  I better hurry up!

So this is the second fabric option for this month’s kit! I hope you love it as much as we do.  We think it’s just precious. :-)  (See option one here and check back tomorrow for option three and details on the deal!)

I LOVE these skirts!  Seriously love them!  And I just couldn’t stop making up fabric combinations for them! (I really could have gone on and on making more and more skirts. :-)  )

There are a total of 8 fabric combinations and you’re going to want one of each, I’m sure! 😉

Anyway – the kit of the month is ready to go!

No, seriously!  You only have until the end of September to join this group deal!

Isn’t this skirt from Joel Dewberry’s new Heirloom collection great?  It was made by Jennifer and shared in the Flickr Group.  She is a wonderful pastor’s wife and mom of 4 that I have been blessed to get to know over the past few years. :-)  The skirt pattern is from the adorable Kay Whit of Serendipity Studios.

By the way, ALL patterns that only have one or two left in stock (there were like 75 that fit that criteria!) have been marked down a crazy 40% off so that I can clear out some space.  They are all in the sale section.

Honestly I am fighting off the urge to just un-list every single one of them and keep them all of myself.  Seriously – GREAT PATTERNS!  There are Anna Maria Horner, Heather Bailey, Izzy & Ivy, ModKid, Sew Liberated and SO many more.  Children’s clothing, adult clothing, bags, quilts – it’s all there.  My point is this… GO LOOK. It’s worth it.  (And FYI, shipping on patterns starts at only 99 cents)

By the way, for the first time ever I have had problems with the Australian post.  Trying to get any real answers from the US postal service is worse than pulling teeth  – so that is how I’ll get to spend part of my day.  Aren’t you jealous? 😉

Jul 212011

Okay guys!  So July’s kit is going to be at the very end of the month instead of the beginning.  :-)  My absence kinda affected that!  I could not force Luke to do all of this by himself.  That would just be cruel.  Anyway, I hope that it’s worth the wait!  I think these are SUPER cute!!!

Not only am I giving you plenty of time to get some adorable Christmas sewing done….but since it’s the kit of the month, it’s a jolly good deal too.  (see how I did that?  jolly good….hahaha)  SO this month is a mix and match month!  You can buy one if you want….but when you buy two, you’ll get one free!

There are pajama pants because I strongly believe everyone needs new jammies on Christmas Eve. And cute winter themed jammies are the best!  And then there are pillowcase kits!  And you can mix and match to your hearts content. Pick all the same fabric combinations, or make everyone something different!  YOU get to decide!  SO fun!

The Summer Days Dress is the perfect summer dress.  Comfortable and easy to wear, this is perfect for a trip to the beach, a day at the park, hiking through summer fields or whatever fills your summer days!

Since this has been selected to be June’s Dress of the Month, if 25 people commit to buy it by Tuesday, May 31st, everyone will get a discount on the kit, the pattern AND a bonus coupon code for a future purchase!!!! (Due to the holiday weekend, I’m giving you an extra day!)

(You do not pay today!)

This dress is made with the Ofelia pattern from Patterns by Figgy’s.  This dress goes from a size 12month to 6.* I chose a beautiful beachy looking fabric with the cutest little dots that remind me of ice cream (or yummy sherbet) for the sample dress. It is easy to put together: perfect for the beginning sewist and a fun fast project for those with more experience!

There are FIVE fabric combos you can choose from for the kit.  And of course, you can reserve more than one if you want! 😀  There are limited amounts of each fabric combination available, so you’ll want to reserve your kit ASAP! (Remember you do not pay today!)

Beach:  Beautiful grains of sand in between your toes, the delicious ice cream treats of summer

Water: Cooling off in the summer with water is a must – and of course, the ice cream is too! A perfectly cool combo!

Poolside: This beautiful tonal medallion is a gorgeous turquoise color and the pop of pink just sets off the whole combo!

Orange Blossoms: In Arizona we are blessed with Orange Blossoms.  Their sweet fragrance fills the air. And cool juicy oranges are the perfect summer snack – just like this combo, orange with beautiful peony plaid!

Summer Bugs:  Little girls like to explore too! And these fun bugs will make a really fun playful dress with the orange dots!

I hope you love this idea as much as I do!!!  And the dress too!  It only takes 25 people (or fewer people committing to multiple kits!) to activate the discount.  And you DO NOT pay today!!!  And of course, I always invite you to share with your friends and family!

Find all the details on the Summer Days Dress listing!

And don’t forget….

Available as a group discount from today (May 27th) until 11:59pm on Tuesday, May 31st.  After that, the kit and pattern will return to regular price.

*If you need a larger size, I do have a plan for you that would work up to a girls size 12, but it will require more fabric and therefore will cost more. Please leave a comment letting me know you’re interested, what size you would need and I will contact you directly.
