I finally got a chance to work on some of my Swoon-Along blocks and I am so excited with how they are turning out! There are over 860 members in the Flickr group now and so many inspiring  Swoon blocks.

Lola Pink Swoon Block #1

There’s a lot of cutting and prepping to do but once you get everything ready, the block goes together so easy. To make it go even quicker, I started layering 2 fat quarters on top of each other and VERY CAREFULLY cutting the squares. Definitely sped up the process. :)

Lola Pink Fabrics Swoon Block #2

The fabrics I’m using are from the Domestic Bliss collection by Liz Scott. One of my favorites that we have in the shop right now. The background fabric I’m using is the Kona Snow. Only we sold out before I could get enough to finish the quilt. Hopefully I will have enough to keep be going until we get it back in stock.

This is going to be one of those collections that I’ll be so bummed when we’ve sold out of. I’ve got a sewing portfolio project that I’m dying to do if I can ever get the time to sit down and figure it out. I also want to do the skirt that’s on the cover of  Sew Serendipity by Kay Whitt. It would look amazing with these fabrics.

Thank you!! Can’t believe how well they turned out. By far my best blocks yet. Still could just be a fluke ;)

  2. Your blocks look awesome! A swoon quilt is on my “to-do” list, but I have other things I have to do first. Can’t wait, though!
